Anne is a Chartered Psychologist with The Psychological Society of
Ireland and a member of the Irish Association of Counselling and
Psychotherapy. A graduate of UCD, she holds a Masters Degree
in Social and Organisational Psychology, a Post-Graduate Diploma in
Business Studies (HRM) UCD Smurfit Business School and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Anne specialises in Counselling and Organisational Psychology.
Her private practice is based in Church Street Medical Centre, Moate,
Co. Westmeath, where she accepts referrals from GPs, health care
professionals and from individuals. She provides support for depression,
anxiety, stress, trauma, and work-related issues. Anne uses evidence based therapies
including CBT and ACT, as well as incorporating an integrative, person centred
approach. She includes, when appropriate, concepts of
mindfulness into therapy sessions.
Her corporate clients include those who avail of her skills in Stress
Management interventions in the workplace. This includes Psychological
First Aid and CBT interventions to those who have experienced stress or
trauma in the workplace.
Anne has worked extensively with both adults and adolescents in
healthcare, community, organisational and educational settings. She
also works with many registered charities.
She follows an evidence based, best practice approach and is compliant
with the code of ethics for both the PSI and IACP.
